Evolution: A Colouring Book takes the concept of a colouring book and, well, evolves it a bit. As well as colouring in the pages, you can also engage with interactive elements such as flaps to lift, die cut holes and stencils that can be drawn through and decorated. Clear, accessible text explains the concept of natural selection and describes the evolution of life, as told through fossils, from sea creatures, to land creatures, to dinosaurs, to mammals and eventually to humans. 

Annu Kilpelainen is a Finnish illustrator based in London, who is known for her tropical depictions of cars, flowers and landscapes. Her work has appeared in magazines such as The Gourmand, Lucky Peach and Yen, as well as across a variety of mediums including book covers, blanket and skateboards. She has another book with Cicada, The Doll's House (2015).
