Cicada Books is a new publishing company specialising in illustrated books, particularly in art and design. We think it’s important to take a collaborative approach to putting books together, and the design and editorial teams work hand in hand to create beautiful and unique objects that are stimulating both visually and intellectually.

The company was established by Ziggy Hanaor, who previously worked as an editor at Black Dog Publishing and Guardian Books. She devised, commissioned and edited titles including Making Stuff, Breaking the Mould, No Wave, Rough Trade and Alvar Aalto Through the Eyes of Shigeru Ban.
